The EU Special Representative for Human Rights (EUSR): This position was created following the EU’s Strategic Framework and Action Plan on Human Rights and Democracy. The position is currently held by Mr. Stavros Lambrindis – he works closely together with the European External Action Service (EEAS) and aims to enhance the effectiveness and visibility of EU human rights policy.
