The '''EU Special Representative for Human Rights''' (EUSR): This position was created following the EU’s Strategic Framework and Action Plan on Human Rights and Democracy (see Measures already in place). The position is currently held by Mr. Stavros Lambrindis – he works closely together with the European External Action Service ([[European External Action Service (EEAS)|EEAS]]) and aims to enhance the effectiveness and visibility of EU human rights policy.
