Help:Links

Please include as many links as possible in between the wiki articles but also to sources outside the wiki as references.

There are different types of links in MediaWiki[1]:

You can add both using the 🔗 (Link) button of the wiki editor.

Internal links

To add an internal link, enclose the name of the page you want to link to in double square brackets. When you save the page, you'll see the new link pointing to your page. If the page exists already the link is displayed in blue; if it does not exist it appears red (unless the color scheme of the wiki has been changed from the default). Links to the current page title ("selflinks") do not result in live links but are displayed in bold. (If you really want to link to the current page, you probably want to link to a specific section or to an anchor; see examples below.)

If you are interested to see what articles link to one page, visit Special:Whatlinkshere.

External links

To add an external link, enclose the URL followed by space and the name of the page you want to link to in single square brackets. When you save the page, you'll see the new link pointing to your page, with an arrow icon after it to show that it was coded with single bracket external link syntax, and thus may lead to another site.

The content orientation of this wiki are articles related to energy, thus references to general points of information should rather be directed to sources outside the wiki.

Adding links in references

Should you wish to recommend your sources to the delegates for further research, you can add them as references.
