Greenhouse gas

Greenhouse gas is the entirety of gases in the Earth’s atmosphere (H2O, CO2, methane, nitrous oxide and ozone) which absorb and emit radiation thus heating the planet are summarised under this term. Without greenhouse gases, the average temperature of Earth's surface would be about 15 °C colder than the present average of 14 °C.
