Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) or Connected and Automatic Driving is the term used to describe the technology connecting vehicles, infrastructure and other parts of the transport system. This connection could reduce the amount of collisions and traffic congestion. In early 2014 the European Commission set up the C-ITS Deployment Platform to set up a more cooperative framework.
