The European Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET-Plan) is focussed on the development of low-carbon technologies. The plan promotes research and innovation and its ultimate goal is the transformation of European energy systems. The SET-Plan is managed by the SET-Plan Steering Group and includes research and development platforms in the fields of wind, solar, ocean, geothermal and bioenergy, smart cities, smart grids, renewable heating and cooling as well as lower emissions.
